About Us
Our Story
The Military Cultural Alliance was founded by military spouses and a veteran in the Vicenza military community of Northern Italy. Born in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization grew out of a desire to rebuild connection and unity after a time of isolation and division.
From the very beginning, our goal has been to create a community where all U.S. service members and families feel celebrated, supported, and valued — regardless of background. We believe that honoring the legacy of military service means recognizing the diverse stories and contributions of those who wear the uniform, past and present.

How We Grew
As we began hosting cultural and community events, it became clear that the needs of the military community extended beyond connection alone. Service members and families needed:
- Scholarship awareness – a central place to find opportunities for education funding.
- Mentorship – career development guidance from peers within their own branches.
- Legacy preservation – efforts to ensure that overseas U.S. war memorials remain dignified and cared for.
One turning point came when our members visited the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial near Bari, Italy, where we discovered the American flag in poor condition. From that moment, we embraced the responsibility of preserving these sacred spaces through our Flag Restoration Project.
Who We Are Today
Today, the Military Cultural Alliance serves as a nonprofit dedicated to professional development, cultural connection, and legacy preservation. Through our programs Scholarships, Peer-to-Peer Mentorship, Cultural Events, and the Flag Restoration Project we are building stronger, more connected military communities around the world
